Charles A. Crawford, the son of the late William O. and Leona Clayton Crawford, was born in Puxico on Jan. 15, 1946 and died at his home near Wappapello on Nov. 7, 2001, at the age of 55. Mr. Crawford had lived in the Puxico and Wappapello communities all his life. He was a carpenter and a receiving clerk with Rowe Furniture. He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Poplar Bluff and a member of the Amateur Ham Radio Club. He was united in marriage to Della Landers in St. Louis on Aug. 17, 1965, she survives of the home in Wappapello. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Lisa Hendry of Wappapello; by one grandson; and by one brother, Bill Crawford of Wappapello. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8 after 6 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. Funeral services will follow in the Watkins & Sons Chapel at 7 p.m. on Nov. 8 with Bro. Glenn Marshall of Poplar Bluff officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9 in the Puxico Cemetery in Puxico with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Puxico in charge of all arrangements.
