Herman B. Williamson

Herman B. Williamson, son of the late Oscar Franklin Williamson and Ollie Pry Williamson, was born on August 17, 1918, in Bloomfield, and departed this life in the Missouri Southern Healthcare Emergency Room in Dexter on November 2, 2001 at the age of 83 years.

Mr. Williamson, of the Baptist faith, retired from the U. S. Navy after serving in World War 2, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He was a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to Margaret (Marge) Reynolds on December 17, 1981, in Dexter. Mrs. Williamson currently lives in the home in Dexter. Survivors include three sons, David Williamson of Winfield; Herman (John Williamson of Bloomfield; and Rick Williamson of Cambridge, new Jersey; one daughter, Candy Lynne Williamson of New York; two brothers, Arvel Williamson of Dexter; and Kenneth Williamson of Bloomfield; by two sisters, Edith Scism of Warrensburg, Missouri; and Oma Matthews of Iuka, Illinois; also nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, at infancy, and by two sisters, Lucille Spangler and Louise Neal. Friends may call at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 until 8 P.M., Saturday, November 3, 2001. Funeral services will be conducted in the Rainey Funeral Chapel on Sunday, November 4, 2001, at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dean Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.
