E.J. Manuel of Rector, Ark., son of the late Mary Moss Manuel, was born May 5, 1939 in Paris, Texas and died Oct. 22, 2001 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center at the age of 62. Mr. Manuel was a factory worker for Arly Home Fashions in Leachville, Ark., was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Assembly of God Church in Dexter. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Cox Manuel, she survives of the home in Rector. Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Larry Manuel of Dexter; by one daughter, Paula Richardson of Piggott, Ark.; by two step-sons, Steve Richey and Keith Richey, both of Marmaduke, Ark.; and by 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Heath Funeral Home in Paragould, Ark. from 5:30 -8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24. Funeral services will be conducted in the Heath Colonial Chapel at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 with Rev. Charles Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Paragould with Heath Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
