Earnie Estes

Earnie L. Estes of Marshall, son the late Steven Douglas Estes and Nancy Cowans Estes, was born in Powe on Sept. 11, 1932 and died at the Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at the age of 69. Mr. Estes has lived in Marshall most of his life, was a house painter and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was united in marriage to Juanita Christine Mausey on May 19, 1951, she survives of the home. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Earnie Joe Estes and by 19 brothers and sisters. Survivors include five sons, George Estes of Mahomet, Ill., Bobby Estes of Green Ridge, Leroy Estes and Doug Estes of Camdenton, and Don Estes of Kansas City, Kan.; by four daughters, Barbara Hoyle of Waverly, Mary Johnson of Holt, Tina Estes of Marshall and Sue Leuck of Orlando, Fla.; by three sisters, Ella Brown, Julia Ferrara and Marie Mossman, all of Bernie; by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall on Wednesday, Oct. 24 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the Campbell-Lewis Chapel on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Maxted officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery near Marshall with Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
