Leo Duley

Leo Duley, son of the late Archie David Duley and Lucy Blevins Duley, was born on March 19, 1924 at Malden and died in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Sept. 26, 2001, at the age of 77. Mr. Duley attended the Second General Baptist Church in Dexter, was a carpenter and a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Rainey on July 24, 1948 at Piggott, Ark., she survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Bailey of Dexter; by three brothers, Merrill Duley and Lawrence Duley, both of Dexter, and Ray Duley of Bogalusa, La.; by one sister, Genevieve Bullock of Flint, Mich.; and by one grandson. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Melvin Duley; by two sisters, Gwendolyn Duley and Nanthleen Duffie. Visitation was held at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. in the Rainey Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vyron Yount and Rev. Greg Stevens officiating. Interment followed in the Dexter Cemetery with Rainey Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
