Burl E. Mann, son of the late Monrol Mann and Rosie Homes Mann, was born on April 26, 1942 at Parma and died on Sept. 23, 2001 in the Missouri Southern Healthcare Emergency Room at Dexter, at the age of 59. Mr. Mann attended the Church of God in Parma and was a retired farmer. In Feb. of 1967 he was united in marriage to Alice Johnson at Parma, she preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 1975. He was then married to Eunice Lee Cullum on May 13, 1978 at Grayridge, she preceded him in death on July 18, 1999. He is survived by two sons, Michael Mann of Zalma and Wesley Mann of Malden; two daughters, Joyce Lathey and Pamela Jackson, both of Lubbock, Texas; six brothers, Loyde Mann, James Mann, Kennith Mann, Bush Mann, Austen Mann, Jerry Matlock; three sisters, Martha Matlock, Anna May Mann, Gladys Burleson; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by one son, Alvice Mann and one brother, Gradie Matlock. Visitation was held at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter on Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 5 - 8 p.m. Funeral services were conducted in the Rainey Funeral Chapel at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26 with Rev. Clifford Wray officiating. Interment followed in the Rosewood Cemetery at Malden. Rainey Funeral Home of Dexter was in charge of all arrangements.
