Barbara Gene Talley of Bloomfield, formerly of Warrenton, was born Jan. 24, 1933 in Kennett, the daughter of the late Elmer Louie and Hazel Crossfield, and died on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001 at Beverly Health Care Center in Bloomfield, at the age of 68. She was united in marriage to Eldon D. Talley on June 11, 1954 in Dexter and to this union five children were born. Barbara worked as a nurses aid in Home Health Care in Warrenton. She is survived by two sons, David D. Talley of Dexter and Jerry E. Talley of Bloomfield; three daughters, Debbie L. Talley and Shirley Peck, both of Dexter, and Penny M. Butler of Montgomery City, Mo.; two brothers, Ronnie Crossfield of Jefferson City and Jerry Crossfield of O'Fallon; five sisters, Betty Green of Dudley, Georgia Hurley and Diane Gilliam, both of Fenton, Freda Rice of House Springs, Mo.. and Peggy Dudick of Wildwood, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two half brothers, Robert and Raymond Crossfield. Funeral services were held, Saturday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. at the Nieburg-Martin Chapel in Warrenton, Mo. with Pastor David Click officiating.
