Wade Demaree

Wade Demaree, a lifetime resident of Malden, was born Feb. 24, 1929, the son of the late Abraham Otto and Sarah Elizabeth Bunnell Demaree, in Malden and died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001 at his home, at the age of 72. He was united in marriage to Carol Helene Haines on Sept. 8, 1951 in Detroit, Mich., she survives of the home in Malden. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Chalmer, Robert, and Billy Demaree. Mr. Demaree was a realtor and the owner/operator of a Retail Catalog Sale Merchant. He was a 1947 graduate of Malden High School and received a B.S. in Agriculture from the University of Missouri. He was a Cottonhill Township board member for several years and a member of the United Methodist Church in Malden. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Nancy Halford of Malden; three sons, Kerry Demaree of Malden, Dennis Demaree of Sugarland, Texas, and Jim Demaree of Bentonville, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; and one brother, Wilbur Demaree of Marion, Ark. Visitation will be held at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 1:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the Landess Funeral Chapel on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Dwight Chapman and Rev. Robert Morgan officiating. Interment will be in the Park Cemetery in Malden with Landess Funeral Home in Malden in charge of all arrangements.
