Flossie M. Gregory of Bell City, was born March 7, 1907 at Campbell, the daughter of the late James and Martha Wright Fish, and died Sept. 11, 2001 at St. Francis Medial Center in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 94. Flossie was a cook at Bell City Schools for several years and she also cooked in restaurants. She helped deliver many children in the community, baby-sat several for many years and was of the Pentecostal faith. She was united in marriage to Frank Gregory on Feb. 10, 1926 at Bell City, he preceded her in death on May 17, 1975. Survivors include one brother, Ike Fish of Lancaster, Calif.; three sisters, Esther Bell of Michigan, Junell Davis of Piggott, Ark., and Lorene Ramsey of Everett, Wash.; and two step-brothers, W.B. Lightfoot of Layetteville, Ark. and J.R. Lightfoot of Bellville, Ill. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, one step-brother and one step-sister. Visitation will be held at the Morgan Funeral Home in Advance on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. in the Morgan Funeral Chapel at Advance with Gearldine Dell officiating and Bertha Newell assisting. Interment will follow in the Bell City Cemetery with Morgan Funeral Home of Advance in charge of all arrangements.
