Helen Cotten, daughter of the late Lee Manion and Mary Rankin Manion, was born on May 28, 1912 at Pyletown and died on Sept. 3, 2001 at her residence in Titusville, Fla., at the age of 89. Mrs. Cotten was a homemaker and was previously from the Dexter and Malden area. On Nov. 1, 1929 she was united in marriage to Bill Cotten at Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1987. Survivors include one daughter, Maralee Phillips of Titusville, Fla.; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Smyth. Graveside services will be conducted in the Dexter Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Sat., Sept. 8, with Rev. Wayne Dismuke officiating. Rainey Funeral Home of Dexter will be in charge of arrangements.
