Jacob Williamson, son of the late Jacob Ledford Williamson and Onvill Mary Hatchel Williamson, was born on Dec. 18, 1904 at Parma and died in the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston on Sept. 3, 2001 at the age of 96. Mr. Williamson was member of the United Pentecostal Church in Poplar Bluff, a retired farmer, a former resident of Dexter and currently resided in Sikeston. He was united in marriage to Edna Grubbs. She preceded him in death on March 20, 1984. Survivors include four sons, J.L. Williamson of Poplar Bluff, Dale Williamson of Denton, Texas, Ray Williamson of Bloomfield and Jerry Williamson of Millersville; by two daughters, Genevieve Jackson of Bernie and Fredia Green of Sikeston; by 29 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Gene Williamson. Visitation will be at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in the Rainey Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Hardin officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery with Rainey Funeral Home of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
