T. Rendleman

Thomas Harris Rendleman, Sr., 92, of Bell City, was born March 22, 1911, at Ulin, Ill., the son of the late Gabriel and Georgia Goodman Rendleman, and died Saturday, May 17, 2003, at his home. Mr. Rendleman was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Bell City United Methodist Church for over 68 years; he was also a charter member of the Bell City Rotary Club. In 1931 he graduated from Bell City High School. On July 27, 1935, he and Mona Bollinger were united in marriage at Kennett, and she survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Thomas H. Rendleman, Jr. of Bell City; two daughters, Suzanne Boswell of Scott City and Mary Hart of Advance; three sisters, Marcia Kinder and Joann Johnson, both of Painton, and Virginia Jenkins of Advance; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Visitation was held from 4:30-8 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2003, at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. The funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Bell City United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Zych officiating. Interment followed in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.
