Patty J. Owens, daughter of the late Francis and Edith Wright Dyer, was born in Bell City on May 30, 1925 and died at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Dexter on Thursday, June 5, 2003 at the age of 78. Mrs. Owens had lived in Bell City, spent 32 years in St. Louis and moved to Dexter 12 years ago. She had worked as staff assistant for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis. She was a member of the Hidden Trails Country Club and attended the Sadler's Chapel United Methodist Church near Dexter. On September 4, 1954, she was married to Carl M. Owens in St. Louis. Mrs. Owens is survived by her husband, Carl M. Owens of Dexter; one daughter, Sharon Goodlove of San Diego, Calif.; and one grandson. Visitation was held on Friday, June 6, 2003 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 7, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Linda Zych officiating. Interment was at Morgan Memorial Park Cemetery in Advance with Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
