David Earl Midgett

David Earl Midgett, son of the late Harry J. Midgett and Lila McGowen Midgett, was born on June 7, 1947, at Poplar Bluff and departed this life in the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Friday, June 6, 2003, at the age of 55. Mr. Midgett was a former maintenance employee for the Dexter Public Schools, a member of Dexter Masonic Lodge #532, a member of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry Valley of St. Louis, a member of Aad Grotto of Poplar Bluff, Sword of Bunker Hill Leadbelt Order #83, the Crowley Ridge Black Powder Club, and a resident of Dexter. He was united in marriage to Janis Miller on February 11, 1967, in Dexter. Mrs. Midgett survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David Midgett Jr. and Robert Midgett, both of Dexter; and by six grandchildren, Shawn Midgett of Essex, Samantha Midgett, Lacey Midgett, Sara Midgett, Natalie Midgett, and Hannah Midgett all of Dexter. Friends called at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2003. Masonic services were conducted at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, June 7, 2003. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Light officiating. Interment will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter. PAID
