Dora Marine Grady, daughter of the late Thomas Nadell Hopper and Nancy Brewer Hopper, was born on Jan. 22, 1916, in Arkansas and died in the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, May 27, 2003, at the age of 87. Mrs. Grady was of the Baptist faith, a housewife and resident of Dexter. She was united in marriage to Chester Paul Grady on Feb. 16, 1952, at Flint, Mich. Mr. Grady preceded her in death on March 11, 1986. Survivors include two sons, Gary Grady of Dexter and Verlon Grady of Woodstock, Ga.; one daughter, Shirley Wood of Dexter; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ethel Eastep and Ava Gilmore. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. The funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lester Clayton officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
