Ray Boyce

Ray Boyce, the son of the late Albert and Ada Mae Palmer Boyce, was born in Bloomfield on Dec. 23, 1914, and died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, Ky., at the age of 88. Mr. Boyce was a resident of Hanson, Ky., and a former resident of Bloomfield and Trigg County, Ky. He was a retired merchant and was affiliated with the Methodist Church. He had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was married to Belva Taylor Boyce, and she preceded him in death. He is survived by one sister, Virginia Nesbitt of Cadiz, Ky.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Jimmy Boyce; one brother, Clifford Boyce; and one sister, Ruth Harper. Visitation will be held Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, prior to the services at the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield. Interment will follow in the West Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Bloomfield. Goodwin Funeral Home of Cadiz, Ky., is in charge of arrangements.
