Charles Duncan

Charles E. Duncan, son of the late Ray S. Duncan and Dorothy Blevins Duncan, was born on January 29, 1938, in Trotter and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter on Friday, July 25, 2003, at the age of 65. Mr. Duncan had been employed by Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Malden and Marion for 35 years. He was united in marriage to Linda Nichols on March 10, 1981, in Essex. Mrs. Duncan survives of the home in Bernie. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Mike Duncan of St. Louis, Shane Duncan and Nicholas Duncan both of Bernie; two daughters, Cindy Bell of Bloomfield and Stephanie Duncan of Bernie; two step-daughters, Tomza Vanhorn of Dexter and Tammy Hill of Millstadt, Ill.; three brothers, Jerry Duncan of Essex, Doyle Duncan of Afton, and Jimmy Duncan of Bloomfield; one sister, Loretta Ferguson of Bloomfield; and four grandchildren Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Linda McAnulty. Visitation was held Saturday, July 26, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2003, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Stan Dauck officiating. Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
