Melvin D. Fleetwood

leetwood, son of the late Adrian Fleetwood and Mary L. Myra Menley Fleetwood Hall, was born February 19, 1935, in Essex, and died Friday, July 11, 2003, in his home in Henderson, Nev. at the age of 68. Mr. Fleetwood was a 36 year resident of Henderson, Nev., a retired upholsterer, mechanic, and a "Jack of all Trades". He was united in marriage to Joyce Green on June 27, 1953. She survives of the home in Henderson, Nev. Other survivors are four daughters, Deborah Lloyd and Donna Sparks, both of Henderson, Nev., Marilyn Garrett and Tammi Qustandi, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; two sons, Melvin Daniel Fleetwood, Jr. of Henderson, and Richard Fleetwood of New Castle, Pa.; three sisters, Freida Courter, Thelma Branum, and Mary Knight, all of Dexter; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nettie Medlin and Pansy Layton. Visitation was held Monday, July 14, 2003. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at the Palm Mortuary in Henderson, Nev. Burial was private.
