Ferdinand Niehaus

Ferdinand Robert Niehaus, son of Herman and Margaret (DeVries) Niehaus, was born July 31, 1924, in Essex, and died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Select Specialty Hospital in Dallas, Tex. at the age of 78. He was united in marriage to Mildred Bell Renfro on December 24, 1943, in Bloomfield. Mr. Niehaus grew up working on the family farm, worked for manufacturers in Detroit, Mich. for 30 years, returned to Dexter, and was a member of the Dexter Masonic Lodge AF and AM No. 532. He then relocated to Flower Mound, Tex. He is survived by his wife, Mildred of Flower Mound, Tex.; one daughter, Linda S. Dean of Flower Mound, Tex.; one son, Larry Ray Niehaus of Plymouth, Mich.; one half-brother, David Nations of St. Charles, Ill.; three grandchildren; and three great-grand children. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Mulkey-Mason Chapel in Lewisville, Tex. with Dr. Larry Parsley officiating. Interment was held in Old Hall Cemetery.
