Norman Kelley

Norman Kelley, son of the late John Henry Kelley and Winnie Hubbard Kelley, was born on March 4, 1918 in Morrilton, Ark., and died in the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston on Thursday, July 3, 2003, at the age of 85. Mr. Kelley was a member of the Morehouse Church of Christ, a retired farmer and a resident of Sikeston. He was united in marriage to Ola Hill on Dec. 23, 1939 at Sikeston. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Billy Kelley and Allen Kelley both of Essex; by four daughters, Judy Armstrong of Clarksville, Tenn., Paula Byrd of Sikeston, Pam Woolsey of Carlock, Ill., and Regina Martin of Essex; by one brother, J.W. Kelley of Booneville, Miss.; by three sisters, Ellen McMillan of River Grove, Ill., Jerelene Kreykendall and Bernice Cumming both of Cahokia, Ill.; by ten grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Kelley, by one brother and three sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the Essex Cemetery with Dale Grissom officiating.
