Hazel G. Hyslop

Hazel G. Hyslop, daughter of the late Walter Calvin and Ada Pope Watkins, was born November 14, 1912, in Aid and died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the Ratliff Care Center at the age of 90. She was married to Ira A. Hyslop on December 8, 1928, in Jackson. Mr. Hyslop preceded her in death on July 7, 1969. Mrs. Hyslop had been a nurse aide at Davis and Hemphill Clinic in Bloomfield and had worked for Dr. Marguerite Fuller in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1985. She attended First Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include a son, Jerry L. Hyslop of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Patricia Rankin of Wappapello; a brother, Billy Watkins of Willard; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation was held Monday, June 23, 2003, at 1 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2003, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Interment was held in Cape County Memorial Park.
