David Wilburn Noles Davidson, son of the late Ira Davidson and Sarah Stamper Davidson, was born on Nov. 23, 1924, at Laurel, Miss., and died in the John J. Pershing Veterans Administration Medical Center in Poplar Bluff on Thursday, June 12, 2003, at the age of 78. Mr. Davidson was a member of the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Saucier, Miss., retired from the United State Air Force, a former electronical engineering teacher, and a member of the American Legion. He was united in marriage to Shirley Fowler on March 21, 1998, at Saucier, Miss. Mrs. Davidson survives of the home in Dexter. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jacquline Davidson of California and Cissy Rushing of Dudley; and seven grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Michael Davidson; and two brothers, Bert Davidson and Billy Davidson. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Friday, June 13, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral mass will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel at Dexter with Father John Sheley officiating. Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
