Dale E. Anderson, the son of the late Floyd and Alta Wilfong Anderson, was born near Dexter on Nov. 6, 1926, and died on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at Three Rivers Healthcare North Campus in Poplar Bluff at the age of 76. Mr. Anderson had lived in Wappapello since 1990. He was a retired labor union representative and had worked in California for many years. He was a member of the Wappapello Eagles Lodge and the Dexter Elks Lodge. He is survived by two daughters, Pam Holman of Highland, Utah, and Sherry Caldwell of California; two sons, Dale E. Anderson, Jr. and Aaron Lee Anderson, both of Salt Lake City, Utah; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Bonnie Williamson of Dexter. He was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Faye Churchill Giddens on March 17, 2002. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Andrew Lovins of Dexter officiating. Interment will follow in the Harper Cemetery near Acorn Ridge.
