Robert V. Fowler, son of the late James Robert Fowler and Pearl Iva Cecil Fowler, was born on Nov. 27, 1934, at Risco and died in the St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2003, at the age of 68. Mr. Fowler was a service technician for Chrisman Oil in Dexter for 28 years, affiliated with Big Ridge General Baptist Church in Matthews and a resident of Dexter. Mr. Fowler was united in marriage to JoAnn Holt on Jan. 9, 1954, in Kennett, and she survives at her home in Dexter. Besides his wife, survivors include three sons: Bill Fowler and Gary Fowler, both from Dexter, and Alan Fowler of Dudley; one daughter, Patty Noe of Lilbourn; two brothers, Charles Fowler of Essex and Jerry Fowler of Detroit, Mich.; three sisters, Inez Gregory of Pontiac, Mich., Madeline Westmorlan and Judy Gainer, both from Dexter; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Gaylord Grindstaff officiating. Interment will follow in the Bluff Cemetery at Idalia.
