Danny Griffin

Friday, August 8, 2003

Danny Griffin was born IN Fairfax, Va., on Nov. 15, 1988, and died at St. Louis Children's Hospital in St. Louis on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at the age of 14 as the result of a bull riding accident. He was a resident of Bloomfield and a student at Bloomfield High School. Danny's passion in life was bull riding, and he was constantly searching for ways to better himself in the sport. He loved the challenge of the moment and exhibited great joy in the arena. His desire to be an outstanding bull rider was surpassed only by his desire to befriend and encourage others. He will be missed by those who knew him. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Dan and Linda Griffin of Bloomfield; two brothers, Danny J. Griffin of Flint, Mich., and Jessie Griffin of Ft. Louis, Wash.; and one sister, Patricia Griffin of Upper Marlboro, Mass. Other relatives and many friends survive to mourn his passing. Friends may call at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at the Bloomfield High School Gymnasium with Rev. Mark Wilson officiating. PAID
