Janece Wilson

Janece Wilson, the daughter of the late John Monroe and Cordelia Barker Davis, was born in Essex on May 12, 1911, and died at her home in Forest, La., on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2003, at the age of 92.

Mrs. Wilson had lived in Gray Ridge for many years before moving to Forest, La., in 1982.

On Dec. 22, 1933, she was married to Wilbur Silas Wilson, and he preceded her in death on July 25, 1975.

Surviving are one son, John Charles Wilson of Ashland City, Tenn.; one daughter, Ann Bolden of Forest, La.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003, at the Taylor Cemetery near Essex with Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter officiating.

Interment followed in the Taylor Cemetery near Essex.
