Fred H. Cox, of Foristell, the son of the late Harvy and Minnie Behymer Cox, was born Dec. 14, 1923 at Kinder and died Sunday, Sept. 21, 2003, at St. Joseph Hospital West at Lake St. Louis at the age of 79.
He had been retired from Killark Electric in St. Louis where he was a journeyman machinist for 20 years.
Mr. Cox had served as the judge of Winfield in earlier years. He had served in the U.S. Army from June 24, 1943, to June 30, 1946.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Cox of Foristell; one son, Jerry F. Cox of Fairview, Tenn.; one daughter, Linda Hinton of Foristell; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, at Baue Funeral Home in Wentzville.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2003, at The Baue Chapel of Wentzville.
Interment followed at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay Street, St. Charles.
