Ines Whitehead, daughter of the late Pearl and Ed Rines, was born on Nov. 26, 1924, at Naylor and died in the Jefferson Memorial Hospital at Crystal City on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, at the age of 78.

Mrs. Whitehead was a homemaker and a resident of Pevely.

She was united in marriage to Ralph L. Whitehead. Mr. Whitehead preceded her in death on April 5, 1978.

Survivors include two sons, Clifford Whitehead and Carl Whitehead, both of Pevely; one sister, Evelyn Rabnor of Torrence, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will then be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, with Rev. Ralph Buckley officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
