Jean Rogers Williams Martin, daughter of Ellare Holllingsworth Rogers, of Cape Girardeau, and the late Lewis Rogers was born in Poplar Bluff on June 26, 1950, and died on Friday, Sept. 26, at the age of 53.

Ms. Martin was a member of the Community Church of Christ at Lowndes, a beautician/stylist at the JC Penny styling salon in Cape Girardeau and a resident of Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two daughters, Dawn Dee Simpson of Wappapello and Shawna Jackson of Bloomfield' one step-daughter, Brandy Martin of Sherman, Texas; her mother, Ellare Rogers of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, James L. Rogers of Lowndes, Robert Rogers of Wappapello and Jonah Rogers of Dexter and four grandchildren.

Visitation was held in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5 - 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., today, Sept. 28, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dale Rogers and Jack Rogers officiating.

Interment will follow in the Community Church of Christ Cemetery at Lowndes.

Memorials may be made to the Memorial Cosmetology Fund in memory of Jean Martin, in care of Martha Dillon at JC Penny Styling Salon, 200 West Park Mall, Cape Girardeau, Mo.
