Teresa Gail Cooper of Delta died Oct. 10, 2003, at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

On Dec. 7, 1991, Teresa and Brent Cooper were married at their present home in Delta.

Survivors include her husband, Brent Cooper, of the home in Delta; her parents, Alvin and Maebell Bradshaw Schearf; a sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Tab Collins; one nephew, Alan Ray Collins, all of Delta; her father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Charlotte Cooper of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Alan Wayne and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

She was employed as plant manager of U.S. Poly in Dexter. She was also President and founder of Sundog Animal Sanctuary, the first no-kill sanctuary in Southeast Missouri. This was a dream come true for Teresa, as she had compassion and love for God's homeless pets.

The family requests that memorials be sent to Sundog Animal Sanctuary, P.O. Box 1, Delta, Mo. 63744.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Sid Mannis officiating.

Interment followed in the Kenyon Cemetery at Delta with arrangements by the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home at Bloomfield.
