Mary Frances Bergen, daughter of Ressie Godfrey Yoder from Dexter and the late Elmer Yoder, was born on Dec. 24, 1938, at Clinton, Ark., and died in Dexter on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at the age of 64.

Mrs. Bergen was a waitress at Hickory House in Dexter for many years, affiliated with the Faith Fellowship Church in Dexter, and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Bergen in May of 1966, and he preceded her in death in December of 1996.

Besides her mother, Ressie Yoder of Dexter, survivors include three sons, Edward McElroy of Dexter, Larry McElroy of Neosho, and Richard Bergen of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Carolyn Shomaker of Dexter; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Susan McElroy and one brother, Richard Yoder.

Mrs. Bergen was cremated with no services following.
