Linda Painton Wilkinson, 76, died Sept. 24, 2003, after a brief struggle with cancer. Born on Aug. 21, 1927, she is survived by her husband of 46 years, Scott Wilkinson of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Jean Martinis of Boulder, Colo., and Ann Elizabeth Wilkinson of Los Lunas, N.M.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Wall of St. Louis, and Christine Hodges of Oran; and one brother, Albert Painton of Painton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bess and Herbert Painton, and one brother, Don Painton, all of Painton.

A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Oct. 4, 2003, at University Presbyterian Church in El Paso, Texas.
