Charles William Churchill, son of the late Paul Churchill and Sybil Hale Churchill, was born on Sept. 29, 1927, at Stuffgart, Ark., and died in the Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston on Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at the age of 76.

Mr. Churchill was the former owner of Churchill Nursery in Dexter over the past 50 years, one of the first members in the Dexter Elks Lodge #2439, and a resident of Dexter.

Survivors include one son, Mark Churchill of Dexter; one daughter, Peggy McCoy of Dexter; one brother, Harold Churchill of Jonesboro, Ark.; one grandchild; and by a very special friend, Louise Waggoner.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed Churchill and Verlin Churchill; and one sister, Marie Bryant.

Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003, from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2003, at 1 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Van Spray officiating and the Elks Lodge #2439 rites.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
