Robbie Taylor, the daughter of the late George and Vera Turnage Odom, was born in Giltedge, Tenn., on April 26, 1911, and died at Cypress Point Healthcare Facility in Dexter on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, at the age of 92.

Mrs. Taylor had been a resident of Essex since 1928. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Essex. She had been a cook at the Essex and Richland Schools.

On Nov. 11, 1946, she was married to Ira C. Taylor in Piggott, Ark., and he preceded her in death on March 14, 1992.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by one daughter, Vera Gilbert of Essex; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Leotis Odom of Essex.

Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Dennis Ward of Essex officiating.

Interment will be in the Essex Cemetery in Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
