Cora M. Brooks, 81, of Advance, was born Nov. 25, 1921, in North Fork, Ill., the daughter of the late Abner and Mary Smith Trousdale, and died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003, at the Advance Nursing Center.

She retired after working 26 years at the Inland Shoe Company in Advance.

She and Wade Brooks were united in marriage on March 13, 1942, at Benton, and he preceded her in death in 1977.

Survivors include a son, Don Brooks of Advance; a daughter, Carolyn Hill of Advance; a brother, Leslie Trousdale of Sedgewickville; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A daughter, five brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2003, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, 2003, at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Interment will follow in Morgan Memorial Park.
