Julia Ann Bascom

Julia Ann Bascom, daughter of the late James W. Bates and Elizabeth Mayberry Bates, was born on Oct. 21, 1905, in Broseley and died in the Missouri Southern Healthcare at Dexter on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at the age of 98.

Mrs. Bascom was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, W.D. Hibler and Tom Bascom.

Survivors include two sisters, Esther Hibler and Nancy Jackson, both of Dexter; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home, 125 West Stoddard Street, Dexter, Missouri 63841, with Rev. Bob Wiggins and Rev. Mike Watkins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.

The family recommends that memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church, 302 East Pike, Dexter, Missouri 63841.
