Kenneth George Williamson, the son of the late Frank and Ollie Hobbs Williamson, was born near Bloomfield on Dec. 16, 1926, and died at the Missouri Southern Healthcare Facility in Dexter on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at the age of 76.
Mr. Williamson had lived in Bloomfield for many years and was a retired heavy equipment operator with Keaner Gravel Co.
On Aug. 24, 1981, he was married to Mary Alice Smith, and she preceded him in death on June 11, 1998.
Surviving are four daughters, Pam Williamson of Fort Myers, Fla., Carol Hux of Essex, Mona Williamson of Biloxi, Miss., and Lisa Fuqua of Bloomfield; two sons, Dempsey Williamson of Bloomfield and Kenny Dale Williamson of Biloxi, Miss.; four step-daughters, Ella Marie Oliver and Paula W. Gilliam, both of Bloomfield, Lisa G. Smith of Aquilla, Kelley J. Edwards of Ripley, Tenn.; three step-sons, Charles A. Smith, Jr. and David Chad Smith, both of Bloomfield, and Michael W. Smith of Advance; 16 grandchildren; many step-grandchildren; one brother, Arvil Williamson of Dexter; two sisters, Edith Scism of Warrensburg and Oma Matthews of Salem, Ill.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille Williamson, and one brother, Herman Williamson.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Carlos Jefferies of Poplar Bluff officiating.
Interment will follow in the Hagy Cemetery in Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
