Flora Frymire

Flora May Frymire, daughter of the late Vader and Sally Pigg Blocker, was born at Grassy on Oct. 28, 1934, and died at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at the age of 69.

Mrs. Frymire had spent most of her life in the Bloomfield community. She worked as a cook for Hester's Cafe in Bloomfield for several years and was a member of the Bible Tabernacle Church in Bloomfield. She was first married to Earl Robbins, and he preceded her in death. She later married Dempsey Frymire, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sons, Leonard and Jimmy Frymire, both of Bloomfield, and Steve Frymire of Leora; four daughters, Veda Adams, Freda McAnally, and Lena Patterson, all of Bloomfield, and Kay Gant of Dexter; two brothers, Owen Blocker of Texas and Dewey Blocker of Eric, Okla.; three sisters, Pearl Fox of Marble Hill, Versie Lewis of Bloomfield, and Ruth Williams of Eric, Okla.; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Junior; one brother, Franklin; and one sister, Ruby Skaggs.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at the Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Robert Gardner and Pat Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Grassy Cemetery.
