Margaret A. Carroll

Margaret A. Carroll, the daughter of Mary Alma Daniels Keller and the late Leonard A. Keller, was born in Quincy, Ill., on July 30, 1929, and died in Yuma, Ariz., on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at the age of 74.

Mrs. Carroll had been a resident of Dexter for the past 14 years and had lived in Southeast Missouri most of her life. She had retired from the Richland Schools where she was a cook. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 7822 Auxiliary and the Bible Way Fellowship Church of Dexter.

On Dec. 30, 1950, she was married to Earl Vernon Carroll in Piggott, Ark., and he preceded her in death on Aug. 13, 2003.

Mrs. Carroll is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William Duane and Reida S. Carroll of Essex; one daughter and son-in-law, Donna Sue and Elgy Lee Brown, Jr., of Sikeston; her mother, Mary Alma Keller of Bonne Terre; six grandchildren, Leonard, Clorinda, and Jeremy Carroll, Jason and Cody Pinkley, and Amber Leeper; six great-grandchildren, Skie, Katie, J.T., the second, and Paige Pinkley, and Harlie and Alexas Leeper; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Leonard Duane and Wauneita Keller of Bonne Terre, and Ronald Louis and Joan Keller of Yuma, Ariz.; and one sister and brother-in-law, Janette Mary and Ronnie Ayers of Las Vegas, Nev. Other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Earl Carroll on June 25, 1992.

Friends may call on Friday, Nov. 21, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Karen Oldham of Dexter officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
