Walton Paul Lee, the son of the late Wendell Phillip and Bertha Adel Humphreys Lee, was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, on Feb. 17, 1918, and passed away at his home near Puxico on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at the age of 85.

Walton had lived in the Puxico area for many years. He was a retired farmer and was a member of the Corinth General Baptist Church of Puxico.

On Jan. 4, 1936, he was married to Ruth Ellen Williamson in Piggott, Ark.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ellen Lee; one son, Bob Lee; one daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Ron Faries; four granddaughters, Detricia Lee, Cheryleen and Chris Farr, Rhonda and Tim Acre, Paula and Mike Hefner; three great-granddaughters, Brook Shelnutt, Ashlee and Abby Acre.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at the Watkins & sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at the Corinth Church near Puxico with Rev. Doyle Corlew of Dexter, Rev. Bob Bradford of Advance, and Rev. Kenneth Lambert of Bloomfield officiating.
