Glenn L. LaRue, 83, of 901 Grant St., Eldorado, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 5, 1919, in Dexter to Charles B. and Anna Barker LaRue, Sr.
On Dec. 26, 1938, he married Louise Foushee, who preceded him in death on Nov. 14, 2002.
He was owner and operator of LaRue Slaughtering and Processing plant in Eldorado for 13 years and a member of Eldorado Gospel Assembly Church.
He is survived by a son, Charles W. LaRue of Huntingburg, Ind.; two daughters, Janice Hurd of Louisville, Ky., and Margaret LaRue of Eldorado; two brothers, Charles B. LaRue, Jr., of Sikeston and Kenneth LaRue of Dexter; two sisters, Opal Coffey and Eloise LaRue, both of Dexter; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Stanley Alain LaRue and Lester Lavonne LaRue; three brothers, Chester, Leo and Virgil LaRue; and two sisters, Beulah Arnold and Joanne Whitledge of Carthage.
Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at Watson Funeral Home.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2003, at Gospel Assembly Church in Eldorado with Rev. L.D. Jolly officiating.
Interment followed in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
