Charlie D. Laminack

Charlie D. Laminack, the son of the late George lee and Essie Mae Coley Laminack, was born in Heflin, Alabama on Dec. 9, 1935 and died on Nov., 27, 2003 at his home in Shepherd, Texas, as the age of 67.

Mr. Laminack was a former resident of Morehouse before moving to Texas where he has lived for many years and worked at the Ideal Cement Company before his retirement. Mr. Laminack served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.

On March 3, 1944, he was married to Mary Imogene McCool in Morehouse.

He is survived by his wife Mary Laminack of Shepherd, Texas; one son, Billy Charles Laminack of Shepherd, Texas; and three daughters, Deborah Gutierrez of Humble, Texas, Diana Lynn of Stafford, Texas, and Mary Laminack of Livingston, Texas; one brother, Jim Laminack of Morehouse; two sisters, Lessie Simms of Dongola, Ill., and Faye Brady of Stockton, Calif.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lena McGowan and Bettey McCutcheon; and three brothers, Albert, Gordon and Vernon Laminack.

Visitation will be held today, Sunday, Nov. 30, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Carroll McGruder of Kennett and Clark Rone of Galena Park, Texas, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery.
