Thelma Harris, daughter of the late Samuel Newton Williams and Ollie Stafford Williams, was born on Oct. 15, 1919, at Bloomfield and died at her residence at Dexter on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Harris was a homemaker and resident of Dexter.
She was united in marriage to Floyd W. Harris on Jan. 13, 1940, at Angola, Ind. Mr. Harris preceded her in death on June 1, 2001.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and Bob Dall of Farmington Hills, Mich.; one sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Harold Roy of Dexter; one granddaughter, Dawn Clark of Lansing, Mich.; three great-grandchildren, Ashton Clark and Clare Jones, both of Lansing, Mich., and James Dall of Farmington Hills, Mich.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John William "Jack" Harris; four brothers, Norbert Williams, Murlin Williams, Leoid Williams and Buel Williams.
Friends may call at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, 2003.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Bell City.
