Charles Lee McDonald

Charles Lee McDonald, son of Rube Lee and Ruth Batson McDonald, was born Nov. 8, 1935, in Magness, Ark., and died Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2003, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He graduated from Malden High School, received his Masters of Science Degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro; began his teaching career at Woodland R4 School District until his retirement in 1982.

He was an active member of the Marble Hill United Methodist Church, having been active with United Youth Fellowship; a member of the adult choir; lay speaker; and Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include four brothers, Lawrence McDonald, Bob McDonald, Terry McDonald, and Roy McDonald, all of Malden.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William "Bill" McDonald.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Malden.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Landess Funereal Chapel in Malden with Rev. David Wigger officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Malden.

Memorials may be made to Charles McDonald Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o First State Community Bank in Malden.
