Betty Lou Partenberry

Betty Partenberry, daughter of the late Jack Gunter, was born on Jan. 1, 1929, in Hayti and died at Forest Park Hospital in St. Louis on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2003, at the age of 73.

Mrs. Partenberry was a homemaker and a resident of Dexter.

She was united in marriage to Leva Partenberry on Aug. 16, 1956, at Hernando, Miss. Mr. Partenberry preceded her in death on Jan. 22, 1984.

Survivors include two sons, Andrew and William Partenberry, both of Dexter; five daughters, Helen Brown of Dexter, Sarah Harget of Broseley, Betty Darlene Jones and Roberta Partenberry, both of Poplar Bluff, and Mary Hillis of Malden; three sisters; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Bessy May Partenberry.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Dec. 12, 2003, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Cliff Jolliff officiating.

Interment will follow in the Mole Hill Cemetery at Broseley.
