David B. Warren

David B. Warren, age 62, died at his home in Jacksonville, Fla., on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2003. He was born in Flint, Mich., fourth child of Newton Warren and Odis Durham Warren. David and his brothers and sisters were raised in Stoddard County by their grandparents, W.B. and Cora Warren.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Pat Pipkin Warren. Also surviving are three sons, Richard Warren of Phoenix, Ariz., Keith Warren and Steve Warren of Jacksonville, Fla.; three granddaughters, Amber and Crystal Warren of Jacksonville, Fla., and Jessica Warren of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Louise Musgrave of Dexter and Ruth Applegate of Fisk; and two brothers, Bob Warren of Phoenix, Ariz., and Larry Warren of Dexter.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Kay, in 1967. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Mr. Warren was well known in and around Stoddard County for his singing ability. During the 1940's and 1950's, as a small boy he was the outstanding lead vocalist for the Singing Warren Kids.

Friends may call on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, from 5-8 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Fred Applegate of Fisk officiating.

Interment will follow in the Taylor Cemetery near Essex with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
