Dona W. Thompson, the daughter of the late William J. and Susie Weaver Warbritton, was born in Green County, Ark., on Oct. 31, 1912, and died at her home in Dexter on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at the age of 91.

Mrs. Thompson had lived in Arkansas and Missouri. She moved to Dexter in 1951, then moved to Malden in 1961 where she was the owner-operator of the Thompson Shoe Store. She moved to Paragould, Ark., in 1985 and returned to Dexter three years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ all her adult life, the WPFA Club for 47 years, the Home Extension Club for 10 years and a member of the Quilting Club for many years.

On Nov. 14, 1931, she was married to Glen B. Thompson, and he preceded her in death on July 22, 1989.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Glen Allen and Neta Thompson of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter, Amy Mosley Risener of Dexter; daughter and son-in-law, Rosemarry and James A. Richey of Poplar Bluff; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at the Church of Christ in Dexter with Bro. Don Bahr of Dexter and Bro. Dwight Bryant of Portageville officiating.

Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Shiloh Cemetery in Paragould, Ark., with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
