Richard A. Smith

Richard A. Smith, the son of Chester and Rachael Williamson Smith, was born in Dexter on May 20, 1955, and died on Monday, Dec. 22, 2003, at his home in Dexter at the age of 48.

Mr. Smith had lived in Dexter all his life. He graduated from Three Rivers Community College with an associates degree.

He had worked for Guy's Chips for several years. He was a graduate of Dexter High School, a former member of the Masonic Lodge and was active in Little League Football.

He is survived by two sons, Nick Smith and Jake Smith, both of Dexter; one daughter, Rachael Smith; his parents, Chester and Rachael Smith of Dexter; two brothers, Jim Smith of Dexter and Chester Smith, Jr. of Richmond, Va.

Visitation will be held after 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Vaughn Wright of Dexter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Triplett Cemetery near Dexter with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of all arrangements.
