Mildred Smith, a former resident of Bernie, died at the Crowley Ridge Care Center at Dexter on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at the age of 101. She was born March 18, 1902.

She was united in marriage to John C. Smith. Mr. Smith preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1961.

Survivors include one son, Noel Smith of Bernie; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Wanda Jean Stone; three brothers; and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at the Dexter Cemetery.
