Glenna Bridges

Glenna Edna Bridges, daughter of the late Robert Horn and Lula Tucker Horn, was born on May 23, 1920, at Success, Ark., and died in the Lakeshore Wedgewood Nursing Center at Nashville, Tenn., on Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at the age of 83.

Mrs. Bridges was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a homemaker, a former resident of Dexter currently residing at Brentwood, Tenn.

She was united in marriage to Reval C. Bridges on Feb. 1, 1941, at Ponder. Mr. Bridges preceded her in death on July 28, 2000.

Survivors include one son, Nicholas Bridges of Barrington Hills, Ill.; two daughters, Linda Henderson of Brentwood, Tenn., and Susan Lynn of St. Louis; one foster son, John Kemper of St. Louis; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

Visitation was held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2003, in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel with Dale Grissom officiating.

Interment followed in the Ponder Cemetery near Doniphan.
